Dumpster rental for dirt and soil removal

Dirt, sod, and excavation spoil are pure weight. We set a 12 yard, you fill it to the line we mark, and the tonnage is quoted before pickup so a grading or dig-out job never turns into a surprise scale ticket.

Which size fits

Soil is one of the heaviest things you can put in a container: a single yard of dirt runs 2,000 to 2,700 lbs, and wet or clay-heavy spoil weighs more. A few yards is enough to max a truck, so dirt goes in a 12 yard filled to a marked line. Clean fill (just soil, sod, and stone) is quoted per ton; mixed or contaminated soil is handled differently, so tell us what it is when you call.

What goes in

  • Excavation spoil and grading dirt
  • Sod, topsoil, and clean fill
  • Stone, gravel, and sand
  • Pool and foundation dig-out spoil

The short prohibited list (paints, chemicals, hazardous material) is on the FAQ page. Heavy material like concrete, brick, and dirt is welcome with a quick call first, so we can confirm weight and pricing before your card is ever charged.

“Great prices and friendly staff. Process was made very easy and they are very flexible if you need to change the pick up date. I had to change pick up date 3 times and they were very understanding. I will definitely use them again if I ever need a dumpster service in the future and recommend them to anyone.”

Common questions

How much dirt fits in a dumpster?

Less than people expect, because weight runs out before space does. At roughly one ton per cubic yard, three to four yards of soil already reaches a truck’s legal weight, so we mark a fill line on a 12 yard rather than send an unhaulable container.

Does the soil need to be clean?

Clean fill (soil, sod, sand, stone, and gravel with no trash, roots, or construction debris mixed in) gets the best per-ton rate and the simplest disposal. Contaminated or mixed soil can still go, but tell us at booking so we route and price it correctly.

How is a dirt load priced?

By the ton, quoted before delivery. Because soil weight varies with moisture, we agree a per-ton rate up front and the certified weigh-in sets the final number; nothing is charged to your card until the load is confirmed.
