Is a 12 yard the right size for my project?
The 12 yard is the one to get when the pile is bigger than a pickup run but the project is contained: one room, one garage, one stretch of fence. Lower sidewalls make it easy to walk debris in, and it tucks into a driveway with room to spare.
One size up runs $649 and nobody has ever complained about too much dumpster. If you're torn, go bigger.
What fits in a 12 yard dumpster?
A 12 yard container holds about 3-4 pickup loads of debris. In practice, that covers jobs like these:
- A bathroom taken down to the studs
- A one-car garage or attic cleanout
- A basement storage purge
- A small roof repair or a shed teardown
- Flooring for one or two rooms
If it is bigger than the last one, look at the 20 yard at $649.
How much weight is 1 ton?
The flat rate includes 1 ton of disposal. Most projects run out of space before they run out of weight, but heavy materials flip that around.
Light and bulky: furniture, cabinets, drywall, carpet, trim, and household junk fill the box long before they reach the weight allowance.
Heavy: asphalt shingles, plaster and lath, tile, brick, concrete, and dirt. A single layer of shingles weighs roughly 250 to 400 pounds per square, so 1 ton covers about 5 to 8 squares of roofing. Brick, concrete, and clean dirt are welcome with a quick call first so we can confirm the weight.
Anything over the allowance is $160 per ton off the real scale ticket. No estimates, no surprises.
Will a 12 yard fit on my driveway?
The container is 12 feet long, 5 feet wide, and 8 feet high. It sits on a standard driveway, on pavement, concrete, gravel, dirt, or lawn, and the driver sets boards under every contact point to protect the surface.
The truck needs a straight run to back in and around 20 feet of clearance overhead to tilt the bed, so flag low wires, branches, or a steep slope when you book. You do not need to be home for delivery; a photo of the spot texted to the office is plenty.
How long can I keep it?
5 rental days are included, counting weekends. Extra days are $10 each and are added to your total, so you are never surprised at pickup.
We deliver and pick up Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and our phones are answered 24/7. Call before noon and same-day delivery is often possible across our 50-town service area.

How many tons are included with a 12 yard dumpster?
1 ton of disposal is included in the $449 flat rate. If the load weighs more, the extra is billed at $160 per ton from the disposal facility's scale ticket, and you see the ticket.
How long can I keep a 12 yard dumpster?
5 days are included. Weekend days count toward the rental period like any other day, and extra days are $10 each. Pickups run Monday through Friday, so ask for the pickup day you want when you book.
Can I put mattresses, tires, or appliances in it?
Yes. Furniture and appliances go in at no extra charge. Mattresses are $25 each and tires are $15 each. Paint, chemicals, oil, and other hazardous materials have to stay out.
What if the 12 yard fills up before I am done?
Call or text and we swap it: the full container is hauled away and an empty one is set on the same spot. If you think you are close, the 20 yard is only $200 more and usually cheaper than a second container.
