Is a 30 yard the right size for my project?
When the whole house is coming out, or the whole roof, or the whole addition, the 30 yard swallows it. Nine to ten pickup loads of capacity means one container instead of three trips, all on one flat rate.
If even this feels tight, call us about a swap-out plan: fresh container on the same footprint, no lost day.
What fits in a 30 yard dumpster?
A 30 yard container holds about 9-10 pickup loads of debris. In practice, that covers jobs like these:
- A whole-house or estate cleanout
- An addition or a major remodel
- Large roofs, or roofs with more than one layer, by weight
- Interior demolition across several rooms
- Commercial and job-site cleanouts
If your job is smaller than the first item on that list, the 20 yard at $649 is the better fit. If it is bigger than all of these, plan a swap-out and we keep the job moving.
How much weight is 3 tons?
The flat rate includes 3 tons of disposal. Most projects run out of space before they run out of weight, but heavy materials flip that around.
Light and bulky: furniture, cabinets, drywall, carpet, trim, and household junk fill the box long before they reach the weight allowance.
Heavy: asphalt shingles, plaster and lath, tile, brick, concrete, and dirt. A single layer of shingles weighs roughly 250 to 400 pounds per square, so 3 tons covers about 15 to 24 squares of roofing. Brick, concrete, and clean dirt are welcome with a quick call first so we can confirm the weight.
Anything over the allowance is $160 per ton off the real scale ticket. No estimates, no surprises.
Will a 30 yard fit on my driveway?
The container is 19 feet long, 6 feet wide, and 8 feet high. It sits on a standard driveway, on pavement, concrete, gravel, dirt, or lawn, and the driver sets boards under every contact point to protect the surface.
The truck needs a straight run to back in and around 20 feet of clearance overhead to tilt the bed, so flag low wires, branches, or a steep slope when you book. You do not need to be home for delivery; a photo of the spot texted to the office is plenty.
How long can I keep it?
7 rental days are included, counting weekends. Extra days are $10 each and are added to your total, so you are never surprised at pickup.
We deliver and pick up Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and our phones are answered 24/7. Call before noon and same-day delivery is often possible across our 50-town service area.
30 yard dumpster questions
How many tons are included with a 30 yard dumpster?
3 tons of disposal is included in the $849 flat rate. If the load weighs more, the extra is billed at $160 per ton from the disposal facility's scale ticket, and you see the ticket.
How long can I keep a 30 yard dumpster?
7 days are included. Weekend days count toward the rental period like any other day, and extra days are $10 each. Pickups run Monday through Friday, so ask for the pickup day you want when you book.
Can I put mattresses, tires, or appliances in it?
Yes. Furniture and appliances go in at no extra charge. Mattresses are $25 each and tires are $15 each. Paint, chemicals, oil, and other hazardous materials have to stay out.
What if the 30 yard fills up before I am done?
Call or text and we swap it: the full container is hauled away and an empty one is set on the same spot. For very large jobs we can schedule swaps ahead of time so the work never stops.
