Which size should I rent?
For most home projects in Connecticut, the 20 yard is the right call: it handles a kitchen gut, a roof tear-off on an average house, or a two- or three-room cleanout, and it still fits a normal driveway. Choose the 12 yard for one room, one garage, or one bathroom, and the 30 yard when the whole house, an addition, or an estate is coming out.
Two things decide it: space and weight. Bulky, light debris like furniture and cabinets runs out of space first. Heavy debris like shingles, plaster, tile, brick, and dirt runs out of weight first, so a small pile can still need a bigger allowance. If you are between sizes, go up; the next size costs $200 more, and a second container costs a full rental. Our size guide has a project-by-project chart.
What the price includes
Each flat rate covers delivery from our Milford yard, pickup, 5 to 7 rental days, and 1 to 3 tons of disposal. On top of that, every order shows your town's fuel recovery fee and a 3% admin fee, and business orders pay Connecticut sales tax, all itemized before you pay.
The only charges that can come later are ones you choose or cause: extra days at $10 each, or weight over the allowance at $160 per ton from the real scale ticket. Mattresses are $25 each and tires $15 each. See the full cost breakdown or check your town's fee on the service area page.
